As is well known among our membership, hospital workforce issues have been elevated to a strategic priority for OHA in its new strategic plan. As member hospital needs continue to evolve, OHA is committed to address them through advocacy, education, and collaboration. Join us for any of the following opportunities.
Starting in September, a free 6-part virtual “Workforce Lunch & Learn” series will be offered to our diverse and valued membership. These sessions will not only offer insights into the current healthcare workforce landscape but will also be used as a time to network, share best practices, and work together to identify innovative solutions to address existing challenges.
Here is a quick overview of the content that will be shared throughout the series:
- Strategies for success in onboarding Healthcare Quality professionals.
- Intentional workforce planning, strategic sourcing methods, and actionable strategies to build sustainable healthcare talent pipelines.
- Strategies to cultivate the next generation of diverse healthcare leaders and ensure a resilient and equitable healthcare workforce, through mentorship, accessible educational pathways, inclusive workplace cultures, and organizational innovation.
- Workforce planning metrics and the impact of operational vacancies on staffing efficiency, premium pay, and patient care.
- Workforce challenges and the innovative strategies, cultural transformation, and leadership approaches needed to overcome them and drive workforce innovation in healthcare.
- Healthcare staffing, hiring practices, and generational dynamics in the workforce.
