2024 OONL Aspiring Nurse Leader Nomination Link

Dear OONL Chapter Leader,

The OONL Fall Conference is coming Nov. 6-8.  OONL is again seeking “Aspiring Nurse Leader” nominations from each OONL chapter. 

Change for 2024

As you recall, the Aspiring award nominations are being done now via Survey Monkey.  Each chapter is being provided a unique link (below) for their chapter members to submit Aspiring nominations. 

What to Include in Your Chapter Email

Please reach out to your chapter members right away to begin soliciting Aspiring nominations!  Be sure to include your chapter’s link, the submission deadline of Aug. 24, and the Aspiring award criteria.

Aspiring Nurse Leader award criteria:

1. Nominees DO NOT need to be OONL members.
2. Nominees DO NOT need to be part of an OONL regional chapter.
3. Include why you feel your nominee goes above and beyond the expectations of their primary role.
4. Ensure your nominee has been in some form of a nursing leadership role for a minimum of six months. This award is not intended for the experienced or executive nurse leader.
5. Nominee should hold a BSN or greater.
6. Nominees should have a desire to advance to the next level of nursing leadership.
7. Nominees should possess leadership abilities and a desire to promote nursing.
