Overview
POSITION: Informatics RN
LOCATION: 5053 Wooster Road Cincinnati, OH 45226
WEEKLY HOURS: 40
OHC - Specialists in Cancer and Blood Disorders, is looking for an Informatics RN which is will based out of our corporate headquarters located at 5053 Wooster Road Cincinnati, OH 45226. The Informatics Registered Nurse (RN) serves as a bridge between clinical practice operations and Network Information Technology, leveraging technology to improve patient care and outcomes. This role focuses on optimizing the use of electronic health records (EHRs), enhancing clinical workflows, and ensuring the seamless integration of healthcare technology.

BS in Nursing or equivalent degree is required. Masters degree in nursing or Clinical Informatics is preferred. Minimum five years working in a clinical setting with oncology; experience preferred. Background in implementation and or support of clinical IT projects who has worked on EMR and or Patient Care Projects. A clinical (nursing, med tech, MD) background preferred. At least three + years training and development of training materials experience. Strong computer skills, specifically, knowledge of systems used in healthcare. Experience with data analysis, data management associated with systems evaluation, clinical research, and analysis tools and methodologies. Experience in Medical policy documentation required. Proficiency with computer systems and MicroSoft Office (Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel) required.

- Demonstrates knowledge of redesigning clinical processes to improve efficiency and patient care, preferably in conjunction with the implementation of a clinical information system.
- Collaborate with clinical staff in the development and management of IT projects plan and tasks for system enhancements, upgrades and new systems.
- Identify training needs of the clinical system end users, create and conduct training courses.
- Collaborate with clinical staff in researching, developing and selecting new technologies that will improve the clinical processes and workflow.
- Provides clinical support to product development teams, product improvement teams, marketing, sales quality assurance, regulatory affairs, external customers, and other functions or groups in the form of clinical consultation.
- Manages the release plan for Clinical Informatics projects and releases. Partners with other functional groups to ensure that content releases are delivered accurately, timely, and in full compliance with customer requirements.
- Facilitates meetings, training sessions and bringing working groups to consensus.
- Manages the changes in workflow process that will need to be made with the system changes, specific to coding and medical policies.
- Assists to identify and resolve problems with applications
- Provides feedback on applications to development teams as to workflow processes and technological solutions.
- Researches and responds to routine and complex inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Leads projects including establishing timelines, deliverables, and drafting communications or presentations. Reviews co-workers work to ensure accuracy.
- Other duties as requested or assigned.
