The one-hour session will expand the learner’s ability to accurately interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) beyond using arrows, sayings or color blocks to achieve comprehension of the underlying pathophysiology of the imbalance. The session moves beyond comprehension to the development of a plan of care and interventions to correct the acid/base disparity.

Learning Objectives

80% of participants will indicate on the post session evaluation that they will accurately interpret arterial blood gas results.

Speakers

Carrie Hamilton MSN, RN, CCRN, NPD-BC
